Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Nguyen Tri Minh could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in December 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Online auction, the work Aisons Sur Pilotis (Houses On Stilt) changed hands for HKD 17,500.00 (€ 2,001.43) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Nguyen Tri Minh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Maison Avec Arbre Rouge (House With Red Tree) in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 10,956.34).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nguyen Tri Minh konnte im Dezember 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Online wechselte die Arbeit Aisons Sur Pilotis (Houses On Stilt) für HKD 17.500,00 (€ 2.001,43) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nguyen Tri Minh auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Maison Avec Arbre Rouge (House With Red Tree) im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 10.956,34).
