Despite a disappointment, a good price for Nguyen Dieu Thuy
When the work Nude by Nguyen Dieu Thuy was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in June 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 5,000.00 – 10,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 3,125.00 (€ 358.94). Despite this disappointing result, Nude is the most expensive artwork by Nguyen Dieu Thuy that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Nguyen Dieu Thuy
Als die Arbeit Nude von Nguyen Dieu Thuy im Juni 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 5.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 3.125,00 (€ 358,94) den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Nude das teuerste Kunstwerk von Nguyen Dieu Thuy, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
