Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2002 Christies in London held the auction The Irish Sale, which included the work Partners by Neville Johnson. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,377.50 (€ 8,421.24) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Neville Johnson have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2003 the work Lamp and 4 was auctioned for GBP 9,400.00 (€ 13,096.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Irish Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Partners von Neville Johnson zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 5.377,50 (€ 8.421,24) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Neville Johnson konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2003 die Arbeit Lamp and 4 für GBP 9.400,00 (€ 13.096,57) versteigert.
