In the AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS auction, the work Swallows And Dragonfly sold for AUD 1,434.00 (€ 837.84) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 800.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Neville Henry Pennington Cayley; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A Kookaburra feeding a frog to its young sold at auction in September 2010 with the realized price of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,301.18).
