Auction result well in line with expectations
In July last year POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Mann auf dem Lande by Neo Rauch. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 800,000.00 – 1,600,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 960,000.00 (€ 119,788.28) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Neo Rauch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bon Si in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 962,500.00 (€ 1,357,112.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mann auf dem Lande von Neo Rauch zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 800.000,00 – 1.600.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 960.000,00 (€ 119.788,28) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Neo Rauch erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bon Si im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 962.500,00 (€ 1.357.112,92).
