Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Nedia Were achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in May last year. In the African Contemporary Art auction, the work Sans Titre, 2021 sold for EUR 27,552.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 12,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Nedia Were; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Barua Si Yangu (the letter is not mine) sold at auction in March last year with the realized price of GBP 25,200.00 (€ 29,877.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nedia Were erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion African Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Sans Titre, 2021 für EUR 27.552,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 12.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Nedia Were; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Barua Si Yangu (the letter is not mine) im März letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 25.200,00 (€ 29.877,44).
