Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Figures on a track in an Alpine village by Nathaniel Everett Green was auctioned at Christies in London in February 2000, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 172.50 (€ 282.28). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nathaniel Everett Green - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Stone Pines At Bocca, Near Cannes, which sold at auction in June 2005 for GBP 456.00 (€ 675.82).
