In October 2003 Christies in London held the auction At Home-British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper, which included the work A prayer of thanks by Nathanaël Schmitt. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 763.75 (€ 1,115.53), 27% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nathanaël Schmitt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work German Putto Feeding A Strawberry To A Bird in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 43,000.00 (€ 27,620.76).

Im Oktober 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion At Home-British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit A prayer of thanks von Nathanaël Schmitt zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 763,75 (€ 1.115,53) und damit 27% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nathanaël Schmitt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit German Putto Feeding A Strawberry To A Bird im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 43.000,00 (€ 27.620,76).
