Auction result misses estimated price range
In November this year a collector was able to acquire the work After Gentileschi 30 x 24 in. (76.2 x 61.0 cm) unframed by Nathan Oliveira for USD 12,160.00 (€ 11,147.78). This price was achieved in the auction Modern & Contemporary Art | Bonhams Skinner at Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nathan Oliveira achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Standing Woman With Long Hair, 1959 in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 144,062.50 (€ 124,438.54).
