Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cat and dry reeds by Nagasawa Rosetsu was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2002. The price achieved of USD 11,750.00 (€ 13,479.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nagasawa Rosetsu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Animals And Figures in April 2018 with an auction result of USD 262,500.00 (€ 217,409.31).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 11.750,00 (€ 13.479,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nagasawa Rosetsu erzielen.
