This artwork by Na Wei achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2016. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work A HERMIT IN NATURAL LANDSCAPES sold for HKD 525,000.00 (€ 63,974.76) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 300,000.00. This high result makes A HERMIT IN NATURAL LANDSCAPES the most expensive artwork by Na Wei that we have observed at auctions so far.
