A top price for Mustafa Fathi - as previously expected
In October 2008 Christies in Dubai held the auction International Modern and Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Mustafa Fathi. The auction ended at the price of USD 40,000.00 (€ 31,540.77), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, this work without title is the most expensive artwork by Mustafa Fathi that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Oktober 2008 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion International Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Mustafa Fathi zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 31.540,77) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist dieses Werk ohne Titel das teuerste Kunstwerk von Mustafa Fathi, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
