Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Murakami Saburo could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, this work without title changed hands for HKD 106,250.00 (€ 12,503.42) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Murakami Saburo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Work in April 2019 with an auction result of HKD 3,125,000.00 (€ 355,716.01).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Murakami Saburo konnte im Oktober 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für HKD 106.250,00 (€ 12.503,42) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Murakami Saburo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Work im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.125.000,00 (€ 355.716,01).
