The work Iris by Muhammad Reza was sold in the Islamic and Indian Works of Art auction at Christies in London in October 2001. It achieved a price of GBP 1,175.00 (€ 1,898.97), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. With this result, Iris is even the most expensive work of art by Muhammad Reza that we have observed at auctions so far.
