Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

In October 2021 Bonhams in New York held the auction TCM Presents ... It's a Knockout!, which included the work Babe, Car and Black Star, 1979 by Muhammad Ali. Here, the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 15,300.00 (€ 13,244.46). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Muhammad Ali achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sting Like A Bee, 1978 in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 425,312.50 (€ 368,172.18).

Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Im Oktober 2021 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion TCM Presents ... It's a Knockout! durch, in der auch die Arbeit Babe, Car and Black Star, 1979 von Muhammad Ali zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 15.300,00 (€ 13.244,46) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Muhammad Ali erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sting Like A Bee, 1978 im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 425.312,50 (€ 368.172,18).
