It achieved a price of GBP 1,800.00 (€ 2,667.71), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Mrs. E. Powell; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Orchidaceae: Dendrobium Densiflorum Wallich Ex Lindley And Dendrobium Linawianum Reichb.F. sold at auction in June 2005 with the realized price of GBP 3,120.00 (€ 4,624.04).
