Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Mr. was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in Hong Kong in October this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 180,000.00 – 280,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 203,200.00 (€ 24,573.20) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mr. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Exercising My Telekinetic Powers (Painted In 2012) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 4,560,000.00 (€ 4,656,652.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Mr. wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 180.000,00 – 280.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 203.200,00 (€ 24.573,20) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mr. erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Exercising My Telekinetic Powers (Painted In 2012) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.560.000,00 (€ 4.656.652,17).
