Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Fine Chinese & Japanese Works of Art Part II, which included the work Monkeys by Mori Sosen. The price achieved of USD 6,375.00 (€ 5,212.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mori Sosen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Peacock and pinks, which sold at auction in September 2012 for USD 22,500.00 (€ 17,501.56).
