Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Mon (T) Liban by Mohammed Said Baalbaki for GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,534.96). This price was achieved in the auction We Are All Beirut at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,800.00 – 2,400.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mohammed Said Baalbaki achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in October 2010 with an auction result of USD 27,500.00 (€ 19,792.72).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Mon (T) Liban von Mohammed Said Baalbaki für GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.534,96) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion We Are All Beirut bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.800,00 – 2.400,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mohammed Said Baalbaki erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 19.792,72).
