Auction result fails to reach estimate
When this work without title by Mogens Gissel was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in October this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had set an estimate of DKK 4,000.00 but failed to be met - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 2,700.00 (€ 361.77). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mogens Gissel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work “Høst” in January 2024 with an auction result of DKK 7,500.00 (€ 6,554.80).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Mogens Gissel im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit DKK 4.000,00 angegeben, edn dieses Werk bei seiner Vertsiegerung jedoch nicht erreichen konnte - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 2.700,00 (€ 361,77) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mogens Gissel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit “Høst” im Januar 2024 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 7.500,00 (€ 6.554,80).
