A top price for Modest Huys
In November 2003 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction TWENTIETH CENTURY ART INCLUDING BELGIAN ART, which included the work Wacken, Sneeuw en overstrooming - Neige et inondation by Modest Huys. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 22,705.00. With this result, Wacken, Sneeuw en overstrooming - Neige et inondation is even the most expensive work of art by Modest Huys that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis für Modest Huys
Im November 2003 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion TWENTIETH CENTURY ART INCLUDING BELGIAN ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wacken, Sneeuw en overstrooming - Neige et inondation von Modest Huys zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 22.705,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Wacken, Sneeuw en overstrooming - Neige et inondation sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Modest Huys, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
