Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ming Zhong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2015. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction, the work Flowers sold for USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,801.42) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ming Zhong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape After Ni Zan, which sold at auction in October 2018 for HKD 306,800.00 (€ 34,546.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ming Zhong erzielte im März 2015 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Flowers für USD 13.750,00 (€ 12.801,42) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ming Zhong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape After Ni Zan beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für HKD 306.800,00 (€ 34.546,13) versteigert wurde.
