Auction result well in line with expectations
In December last year Artcurial held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work La splendida Marliyn - 1989 by Mimmo Rotella. The price achieved of EUR 12,464.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mimmo Rotella achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in February 2016 with an auction result of GBP 1,082,500.00 (€ 1,387,090.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Artcurial die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit La splendida Marliyn - 1989 von Mimmo Rotella zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 12.464,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mimmo Rotella erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Februar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.082.500,00 (€ 1.387.090,08).
