A top price for Mick Namarari Tjapaltjarri - as previously expected
In July 2009 Sothebys in Melbourne held the auction Aboriginal Art, which included the work Tjunginpa (Mouse Dreaming) by Mick Namarari Tjapaltjarri. The price achieved of AUD 144,000.00 (€ 81,527.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Tjunginpa (Mouse Dreaming) is the most expensive artwork by Mick Namarari Tjapaltjarri that we have observed at auctions so far.
