The result of EUR 1,400.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,400.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michele Catti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La raccolta delle olive in November 2005 with an auction result of EUR 14,880.00.

Die Arbeit Pescatori sulla riva von Michele Catti wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion Dipinti e Sculture del XIX e XX Secolo bei Il Ponte versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 1.400,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.400,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michele Catti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La raccolta delle olive im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 14.880,00.
