Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2001 a collector was able to acquire the work Ragazza in attesa (Young girl waiting) by Michele Cammarano for USD 3,525.00 (€ 3,919.72). This price was achieved in the auction Nineteeth Century European Paintings at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michele Cammarano achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Incoraggiamento al vizio, 1868 in November 2002 with an auction result of EUR 171,950.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2001 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Ragazza in attesa (Young girl waiting) von Michele Cammarano für USD 3.525,00 (€ 3.919,72) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Nineteeth Century European Paintings bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michele Cammarano erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Incoraggiamento al vizio, 1868 im November 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 171.950,00.
