In June 2013 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Tableaux et Dessins Anciens et du XIXe siècle, which included the work Elégante Regardant Un Portrait Miniaturemichel Garnier ; Elegant Looking At A Miniature Portrait ; Trace Of Signature And Dated Upper Right On The Mirror ; Oil On Canvas by Michel Garnier. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 91,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michel Garnier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La Jeune Musicienne, which sold at auction in April 2014 for EUR 361,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2013 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Tableaux et Dessins Anciens et du XIXe siècle durch, in der auch die Arbeit Elégante Regardant Un Portrait Miniaturemichel Garnier ; Elegant Looking At A Miniature Portrait ; Trace Of Signature And Dated Upper Right On The Mirror ; Oil On Canvas von Michel Garnier zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 91.500,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Michel Garnier mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La Jeune Musicienne beobachtet, die im April 2014 für EUR 361.500,00 versteigert wurde.
