The »bidding war« ended at GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,521.04), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Zeno Diemer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work German view Of The Bosphorus With Rumelihisari in May 2013 with an auction result of GBP 86,500.00 (€ 101,132.01).
