In May 2020 VAN HAM held the auction Fine Art, which included the work David mit dem Haupt des Goliath by Michael Willmann. Here, the estimate of EUR 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 2,193.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Willmann - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Die Himmelfahrt Mariä., which sold at auction in May 2011 for EUR 4,500.00.
Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2020 führte VAN HAM die Auktion Fine Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit David mit dem Haupt des Goliath von Michael Willmann zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der Schätzpreis von EUR 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 2.193,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Michael Willmann mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Die Himmelfahrt Mariä. beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für EUR 4.500,00 versteigert wurde.
