Auction result fails to reach estimate
When the work A summerlandscape with cows drinking from a pond by Michael Therkildsen was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in July this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously set the estimate at DKK 3,000.00, but this failed to be met - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 2,400.00 (€ 321.89). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Therkildsen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Scenery with a bull on the field, which sold at auction in January 2024 for DKK 1,000.00 (€ 873.97).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Als die Arbeit A summerlandscape with cows drinking from a pond von Michael Therkildsen im Juli diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit DKK 3.000,00 angegeben, den dieses Werk bei seiner Versteigerung leider nicht erreichen konnte - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 2.400,00 (€ 321,89) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Michael Therkildsen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Scenery with a bull on the field beobachtet, die im Januar 2024 für DKK 1.000,00 (€ 873,97) versteigert wurde.
