A top price for Michael Soi - as previously expected
In May last year Artcurial in Paris held the auction African Contemporary Art, which included the work The Jackpot, 2017 by Michael Soi. The price achieved of EUR 3,936.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Jackpot, 2017 is the most expensive artwork by Michael Soi that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion African Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Jackpot, 2017 von Michael Soi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.936,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist The Jackpot, 2017 das teuerste Kunstwerk von Michael Soi, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
