Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Between Day And Night) by Michael Rapoport was sold in the Israeli & International Art auction at Sothebys in New York in December 2014. The price achieved of USD 15,000.00 (€ 12,395.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Rapoport - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in December 2011 for USD 36,250.00 (€ 27,942.65).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Between Day And Night) von Michael Rapoport wurde im Dezember 2014 in der Auktion Israeli & International Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 12.395,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Michael Rapoport mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Dezember 2011 für USD 36.250,00 (€ 27.942,65) versteigert wurde.
