Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2006 Christies in Sydney held the auction THE W.R. BURGE COLLECTION, which included the work While I Weight by Michael Nicholls. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of AUD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of AUD 1,015.75 (€ 599.54) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Michael Nicholls have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2006 the work The Last Drop was auctioned for AUD 1,195.00 (€ 705.34).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2006 führte Christies in Sydney die Auktion THE W.R. BURGE COLLECTION durch, in der auch die Arbeit While I Weight von Michael Nicholls zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von AUD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von AUD 1.015,75 (€ 599,54) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Michael Nicholls konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2006 die Arbeit The Last Drop für AUD 1.195,00 (€ 705,34) versteigert.
