Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 21st Century Art Day Sale, which included the work That Ball Was On The Line! by Michael Kagan. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 138,600.00 (€ 16,454.79), 16% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Michael Kagan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work It Begins in June last year with an auction result of HKD 1,134,000.00 (€ 137,999.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 21st Century Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit That Ball Was On The Line! von Michael Kagan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 138.600,00 (€ 16.454,79) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michael Kagan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit It Begins im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.134.000,00 (€ 137.999,43).
