Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work In Memory by Michael Kagan was sold in the Contemporary Showcase: Otaku Redux auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in September 2021. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 7,560.00 (€ 838.48). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Kagan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work It Begins in June last year with an auction result of HKD 1,134,000.00 (€ 137,999.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit In Memory von Michael Kagan wurde im September 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Showcase: Otaku Redux bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 7.560,00 (€ 838,48) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Kagan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit It Begins im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.134.000,00 (€ 137.999,43).
