Despite a disappointment, a good price for Michael Argov
In December 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Composition by Michael Argov for USD 1,750.00 (€ 1,658.45). This price was achieved in the auction Israeli & International Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, Composition is the most expensive artwork by Michael Argov that we have observed at auction so far.
