In November last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California Art, which included the work Marin County Landscape: Russian River Scene by Meyer Straus. The price achieved of USD 5,737.50 (€ 5,557.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Marin County Landscape: Russian River Scene is the most expensive artwork by Meyer Straus that we have observed at auctions so far.
