Upper estimate price exceeded by 60 %.
The work Out of Bounds No. 38 by Meguru Yamaguchi was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July last year. It achieved a price of HKD 478,800.00 (€ 59,744.40), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 60%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Meguru Yamaguchi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rd No.6 (Executed In 2018), which sold at auction in April this year for HKD 144,000.00 (€ 147,052.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Out of Bounds No. 38 von Meguru Yamaguchi kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 478.800,00 (€ 59.744,40) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 60%. Für andere Arbeiten von Meguru Yamaguchi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rd No.6 (Executed In 2018) beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für HKD 144.000,00 (€ 147.052,17) versteigert wurde.
