Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Mayuka Yamamoto achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in Hong Kong in March this year. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Little Hippo Boy sold for HKD 444,500.00 (€ 52,046.40) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 180,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mayuka Yamamoto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Little Penguin Boy in April this year with an auction result of HKD 576,000.00 (€ 588,208.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mayuka Yamamoto erzielte im März diesen Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Little Hippo Boy für HKD 444.500,00 (€ 52.046,40) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 180.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mayuka Yamamoto erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Little Penguin Boy im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 576.000,00 (€ 588.208,70).
