Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Maya Lin was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in April 2013. The price achieved of EUR 2,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,500.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Maya Lin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Blue Wave in November last year with an auction result of USD 15,120.00 (€ 14,646.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Maya Lin kam im April 2013 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.750,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.500,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maya Lin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Blue Wave im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.120,00 (€ 14.646,90).
