The work Sun Dazzle by Max Dupain was auctioned at Christies in Melbourne in November 2002. It achieved a price of AUD 7,637.50 (€ 4,307.05), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 27%. Admittedly, works by Max Dupain have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sunbaker, 1937 in August 2021 with an auction result of AUD 49,200.00 (€ 41,694.92).

Die Arbeit Sun Dazzle von Max Dupain kam im November 2002 bei Christies in Melbourne zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von AUD 7.637,50 (€ 4.307,05) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 27%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Max Dupain auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sunbaker, 1937 im August 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 49.200,00 (€ 41.694,92).
