Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2011 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master & 19th Century Paintings, Drawings & Watercolors Part II, which included the work Peaches, plums, and grapes on a silver dish, with figs, flowers and chestnuts, all on a natural ground against a landscape; and A basket of figs and grapes with pomegranates and plums, all on a natural ground by Maximilian Pfeiler. The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 18,228.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Other works by Maximilian Pfeiler have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2008 the work Natura morta di frutta con anguria, uva e fichi was auctioned for EUR 26,000.00.

Im Januar 2011 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Paintings, Drawings & Watercolors Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Peaches, plums, and grapes on a silver dish, with figs, flowers and chestnuts, all on a natural ground against a landscape; and A basket of figs and grapes with pomegranates and plums, all on a natural ground von Maximilian Pfeiler zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 18.228,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Maximilian Pfeiler konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2008 die Arbeit Natura morta di frutta con anguria, uva e fichi für EUR 26.000,00 versteigert.
