In November 2009 Sothebys in New York held the auction Israeli and International Art, which included the work Tel Aviv, View Towards Jaffa by Maxa Nordau. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,688.00 (€ 3,126.58), 56% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Maxa Nordau; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Souvenir De Jerusalem sold at auction in March 2011 with the realized price of EUR 5,100.00.

Im November 2009 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Israeli and International Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tel Aviv, View Towards Jaffa von Maxa Nordau zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 4.688,00 (€ 3.126,58) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Maxa Nordau; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Souvenir De Jerusalem im März 2011 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 5.100,00.
