The price achieved of GBP 2,629.00 (€ 3,935.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Max Volkhart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Welcome Interruption in October 2005 with an auction result of USD 48,000.00 (€ 40,016.67).
