Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Still life with vase and painting by Max Müller was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in April this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of DKK 8,000.00 – 10,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 4,000.00 (€ 536.59). Admittedly, works by Max Müller have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Street scene, Paris in November this year with an auction result of DKK 23,000.00 (€ 3,084.80).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Still life with vase and painting von Max Müller im April diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 8.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 4.000,00 (€ 536,59) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Max Müller auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Street scene, Paris im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 23.000,00 (€ 3.084,80).
