Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, which included the work The Road Builder by Max Kalish. The price achieved of USD 10,200.00 (€ 7,626.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Max Kalish have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Steelworker' in September 2010 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 36,762.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Road Builder von Max Kalish zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.200,00 (€ 7.626,74) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Max Kalish auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Steelworker' im September 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 36.762,00).
