Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mamukala Billabong, Kakadu by Max John Miller was auctioned at Christies in Melbourne in November 2002. The price achieved of AUD 587.50 (€ 331.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 500.00 – 700.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Max John Miller - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Two Mile Track - Tibooburra, which sold at auction in November 2004 for AUD 1,434.00 (€ 835.27).

Die Arbeit Mamukala Billabong, Kakadu von Max John Miller kam im November 2002 bei Christies in Melbourne zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 587,50 (€ 331,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Max John Miller mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Two Mile Track - Tibooburra beobachtet, die im November 2004 für AUD 1.434,00 (€ 835,27) versteigert wurde.
