Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Spring time; and Returning home at dusk by Henry Maurice Page was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2003, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 352.50 (€ 459.28). Admittedly, works by Henry Maurice Page have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mallard At Dawn in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 3,840.00 (€ 3,041.83).
