Sold at the lower estimate price
In January 2013 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art, which included the work Reflections By The Ruins At Dusk by Maurice Moisset. The result of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,750.88) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maurice Moisset - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A traveller on a country track, which sold at auction in July 2012 for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,502.76).
