Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2007 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction British & Continental Paintings, which included the work Le Matin Au Bord De La Cellune by Maurice Levis. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,280.00 (€ 3,355.90). Admittedly, works by Maurice Levis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le Dinandier, Constantine in December 2013 with an auction result of EUR 25,980.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2007 führte Sothebys in Olympia die Auktion British & Continental Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Matin Au Bord De La Cellune von Maurice Levis zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.280,00 (€ 3.355,90) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maurice Levis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le Dinandier, Constantine im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 25.980,00.
